Don’t fall in love

Never fall in love with an idea. It’s good to have passion about your idea’s and believing in them but be prepared to throw it away and mostly be prepared that your idea will not be perfect.

I noticed this when I was designing Last Minute Souvenir (http://www.lastminutesouvenir.com) I started to love the idea and the interface so much I couldn’t settle for suboptimal solutions anymore. This cost me 3 hours of working out how to save an image in a database. That is half the time I have for the entire idea. This idea in the end took me 3 weeks (1200 minutes) instead of 1, and so far isn’t successful at all. This makes me a sad Richard 🙁
